Cortleigh Boulevard
This expansive ensuite bathroom in Toronto’s Lytton Park was in great condition but lacked both functional flow and aesthetic refinement. Despite its generous footprint, the space was poorly planned— with double sinks awkwardly tucked into a corner, a disproportionately small shower, and an oversized wall housing nothing more than a slim linen closet.
To transform this space into a luxurious retreat, we removed the bulky under-mount tub in favor of a sleek, modern freestanding design, allowing room for a luxurious steam shower with a built-in bench. Most importantly, we reimagined the vanity area, incorporating a spacious double-sink setup with an elegant makeup station and ceiling suspended back-lit mirror.
The entire ensuite was enveloped in artisan Venetian plaster, lending organic movement and a rich, textural depth to the walls and ceiling. We introduced fluted wood accents to complement the soft grey wood tones, mirroring their rhythmic texture in the sculptural fluted pendants and sconces by Arturo Alvarez for A-Emotional Light.
The true showstopper of this space is the breathtaking lilac marble, gracing the steam shower in a striking hexagonal mosaic and is carried through to the custom vanity. To preserve the uninterrupted beauty of the marble, we integrated discreet 22-system outlets at the vanity, ensuring functionality without compromising the design. The millwork and stonework, entirely custom-crafted, complete this ensuite’s transformation into a sanctuary of spa-like indulgence and elegance.
