Sewickley

In Sewickley, Pennsylvania, Isabel transformed her and her husband Rich Clune’s 1911 Colonial Revival home. Inspired by the town’s storybook charm and surrounding countryside after Rich’s coaching career with the Pittsburgh Penguins brought them to Western Pennsylvania, the home was thoughtfully restored to celebrate its historic character while adapting it for modern living.

Color serves as an architectural language throughout the interiors, with a blend of muted and saturated tones inspired by the region’s landscape and changing seasons. Pattern and wallpaper play an equally important role, bringing warmth, personality, and a collected sense of character through a mix of traditional stripes and whimsical florals.

The project embodies Isabel’s philosophy of restrained maximalism: a refined balance of traditional and modern design layered with artistic individuality and strong architectural foundations. Filled with art, music, and spaces designed for gathering, the home feels timeless, expressive, and unmistakably personal.
